I have a PhD from the the University of Tasmania. I also received a Masters in Applied Sociology (Social Research) from the University of Tasmania in 1996.
As well as many years experience in private practice as a researcher and evaluator, my working life has included several years in marketing. I have experience in marketing newspapers, the Arts and shopping centres and have received two awards for Excellence in Marketing. I was awarded a CPM (Certified Practicing Marketer) by the Australian Marketing Institute and was a State Councillor for the AMI in Tasmania in 2002.
